# engageMessageSendTestEmail

> Send a one-off test email using the given content, without creating or
affecting a campaign. Use to verify rendering, headers, and attachments
before running [`engageMessageAdd`](/api-reference/mutations/engageMessageAdd) / [`engageMessageStart`](/api-reference/mutations/engageMessageStart).

<Note>
**Errors:** `Email content, title, from address or to address is missing` when a required field is omitted.
